"One Cappuccino, please." You requested with a smile. The waitress quickly scribbled down your order before walking over to the next table.
Today, you were in an incredibly cheerful mood.
Not because it was a beautifully warm and sunny day. And not even because you passed your college entrance exams with flying colors.
Today, you were finally able to spend some time with your signicant other.
While a trip to the local coffee shop wasn't exactly your idea of a romantic date, you certainly weren't about to complain.
In recent weeks, having alone time with Ayato was a somewhat difficult task.
So you planned on making the most of the time you were together, no matter what.
After receiving your hot beverages, Ayato noticed your bubbly demeanor.
"Why the Hell are you so happy?" He asked, eyeing you suspiciously.
"We haven't been spending much time together recently, so I was happy when you invited me out for coffee." You replied before taking a sip of your steaming drink.
"I've been busy. I do have a life, ya know." Ayato remarked, taking a sip of his own coffee. You stared at him for a moment.
"You can always leave Aogiri." You suggested quietly, earning a glare from the ill-tempered teen.
"Tch. Don't be so damn stupid." He answered before standing up and walking towards the restroom.
You sighed and leaned back in your seat.
Shortly after meeting Ayato, you learned that he was a ghoul. While you were initially surprised, you decided to accept the blue-haired boy for who and what he was.
At first, Ayato was extremely resistant and hostile towards you.
But over time, he began to slowly accept your friendship and open up to you.
He mentioned being a member of Aogiri on multiple occasions. He told you about some of the missions he participated in.
Although you never doubted Ayato's strength, you knew how determined the CCG was when it came to hunting down ghouls.
That knowledge caused you to constantly worry about your hot-headed boyfriend.
That's why you always cherished the time spent with him. Because whenever you were with Ayato, you were terrified that you may never get another chance to see him again.
"Hey [Name]." Snapping out of your thoughts, you turned towards the familiar voice.
"Oh Hide. I didn't expect to see you here." You said, smiling at your friend.
"Yeah. I had some free time, so Nishiki Senpai asked if I'd be able to go on a coffee run." Hide explained.
"Ah, I see. Well, pretty soon you won't be the only one going on coffee runs." You replied, trying to remain nonchalant.
"You mean you-" Hide began. You nodded and smiled.
"Yup. I passed my college entrance exams, so I'll be attending Kamii University next month."
In response, Hide put his arm around your shoulders and lightly pinched your cheek in a teasing manner.
"Congrats! I knew if anyone could pass the exams, it would be you, [Name]."
"Yeah, thanks." You answered, slapping his hand away from your face.
"Your order is ready, Sir." A cashier called out to Hide, setting two cups of coffee on the counter.
"Well, I have to get going now. I'll text you later, [Name]. We'll have to celebrate your accomplishment sometime!" Hide said before paying for the coffee and leaving the shop.
Almost immediately after Hide left, Ayato came back to the table.
"Who the fuck was that?" He asked with a scowl.
"A friend." You answered simply, taking another sip of your cappuccino.
Unsatisfied with your answer, Ayato slammed his hands on the table top, gaining the attention of surrounding customers.
"Ayato, please. Just sit down before your coffee gets cold." You said in a low voice, trying not to anger him further. Scoffing, Ayato sat down in his seat and glared out the coffee shop window.
"So... you're gonna hang out with that asshole?" Ayato asked after a moment of silence. You raised an eyebrow.
"Are you jealous?" You asked, trying to contain your slight amusement over this situation. You were normally used to Ayato being cold, distant, and extremely blunt with you. It was rare for him to show you any type of affection, so for him to express jealously over such an innocent encounter with Hide caused you to smile.
"You know I can easily kill you, right?" He threatened, gritting his teeth slightly.
"I know, I know." You replied before giving him a serious look. "But honestly, you have nothing to worry about."
"And why the Hell should I believe that?"
You smiled. "Because I love you, Ayato." A slight blush appeared on the boy's face.
"Tch. You're an idiot." He replied before standing up again and walking towards a nearby display counter. You frowned.
"Obviously I am for dealing with your pissy attitude." You quietly mumbled to yourself before taking another sip of your drink.
A few moments later, Ayato returned to the table with a small serving of [Favorite Flavor] cake.
After setting the plate in front of you, he sat back down to enjoy his coffee.
"Thank you." You said with a small smile while picking up a fork.
As you put a forkful of cake in your mouth, you bit down on something hard.
"Ow!" You flinched, dropping the fork onto the table.
Ayato stared at you, his eyes widening slightly as you picked up a napkin to spit out whatever it was that you bit into. When you pulled the napkin away from your mouth, you were both shocked and upset.
Laying in the middle of the napkin was a ring, covered in bits of cake and a tiny trace of blood.
The part that upset you was the item laying next to the ring, which was one of your teeth.
"What the Hell?" You looked at Ayato, confused. He crossed his arms and looked away from you.
"It's your own fault for saying you love me." He said, trying to avoid getting blamed for your now missing back tooth.
Staring at him for a moment, you stood up and walked over to him.
Instead of yelling at him, you wrapped your arms around his neck and embraced him in a warm hug.
Ayato was taken aback for a moment.
"H-Hey! People are looking at us, dammit. Let go!" He said, both flustered and embarrassed over the sudden display of affection.
"Does this mean you love me, Ayato?" You asked after releasing him. You wiped the ring off as best as you could, and held it up.
"You can believe what you want..." He replied with a frown, a noticeable blush on his face. Tears of happiness began to blur your vision as you stared at your boyfriend.
"Ayato... Thank you. I would smile and kiss you right now, but my mouth is really sore." You commented as you slid the ring on your finger.
"Keep embarrassing me out in public, and your mouth won't be the only part of you that's sore." He remarked, trying to intimidate you. Holding the side of your face, you managed to smile a little.
"You really should think before you speak, Ayato. Because depending how you meant that... I may deliberately embarrass you from now on just so you could make my body sore." You replied, winking at him. Ayato's blush deepened when he realized what you meant. Or rather, what you thought he was hinting at.
"Shut the Hell up, that's fucking disgusting." Ayato said as he stood up and threw his empty cup away. Turning back towards you, he lead you out of the coffee shop.
"If I'm so disgusting, then why would you give me this?" You pressed on, motioning towards the ring.
After a moment of silence, Ayato answered. "Tch. Don't be a smart-ass bitch, [Name]."
You chuckled to yourself. "I love you too, Ayato."

Ayato X Reader | Not the perfect Story | Modern!AU
Bookstore!AU
A perfect love story between highschoolers during their third year... The girl working at a part-time job at a library, watching her classmate picking books from afar, a fleeting love blossoming in her heart as she quietly sighs...
That was a great tale. Simple, pure, and relatable.
You liked stories like that.
"You were daydreaming about some stupid stuff again weren't you?"
You sighed in a totally different manner than the cute younger girl you were fantasizing about, irritation replacing admiration.
"And tell me, Kirishima, the way it could possibly have something to do with you?" You retorted as you picked up the books y

Caffeine | Nishiki Nishio x Reader
Anteiku was always the coffee shop to be at. It was small, quaint, and just so happened to be your favorite spot to be. It was hardly ever overly crowded so it was the perfect place for you to relax and write with a warm cup of coffee in your hands. It was peaceful. At least, it was whenever that snarky waiter wasn’t working.
It was a miracle that he even still had a job there. You’ve witnessed his temper several times throughout the countless months you’ve been visiting the coffee shop. Whether it be yelling at clumsy co-workers or arguing with rude customers, he always inputted his opinion even when it wasn’

Insatiable | Yandere!Ayato x Reader | Tokyo Ghoul
Ayato Kirishima...was obsessed.
Part of him was too proud to admit it. After all, it was like a weakness. To have become so attached to a human, of all things.
And yet here he was. Tailing you from the shadows like a slyly flitting bird, a sharp swathe of darkness himself as he leapt from pipe to pipe. In a way it was your own fault. In a place like Tokyo, why the hell would you go wandering down an alleyway like this on your own. Weren't you afraid of some ghoul leaping out at you and eating you in an instant?
Maybe you had nerves of steel. What seemed more likely to him though...was that you were probably naïve. You likely didn't ev
