"[Name] darling! Please try to hurry! You don't want to be late, do you?" Your mother called as you began your descent down the staircase.
"Oh, of course not, mother." You replied sarcastically.
"Don't be that way, [Name]. Earl Trancy is a fine young man." Your father stated as he took his place beside your mother.
"That doesn't mean I have to marry him." You tried to argue.
"This topic is not up for debate. You are to marry Alois Trancy upon his 18th birthday, and that's final. You know our family needs this in order to move up in the world." Your father said, his voice stern. Rolling your eyes, you made your way to the front door.
"[Name]." Your mother began. It was her way of trying to reason with you.
"We should leave now. I wouldn't want to keep my fiancé waiting." You replied, sarcasm tainting your words, before walking outside and towards an awaiting carriage.
~
The ride to the Trancy manor was long, boring, and monotonous. Not to mention the extreme tension that was in the carriage. Your mother kept trying to make small talk while your father just stared out the window. After about 15 minutes, a familiar estate came into view.
~
"Hello Claude." You greeted as the butler opened the carriage door.
"Good afternoon, Miss [Name]." He replied, offering his hand to you to help you down. You accepted, and stepped down next to him. "Good afternoon Lord and Lady [Last Name]." Claude said, bowing in respect as your father stepped out of the carriage and helped your mother down.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Faustus. Where is Lord Trancy?" Your father inquired.
"My master is -" Claude began, but was cut off.
"[Name]!" Your blonde husband-to-be called out happily as he ran over and hugged you tightly. "I missed you. You really should visit me more often." Alois said, releasing his grip on you.
"You'll have to excuse my wife and I, Lord Trancy. I have a meeting that I must attend in another hour, so I'm afraid we can't stay long." Your father explained.
"That's fine. [Name] is staying here for the next week, so we could talk when you come back to get her." Alois replied, waving your parents off. After saying your goodbyes, your parents left you to fend for yourself in the Hell that was the Trancy Estate.
~
"Get out!" Alois was heard screaming, followed by the sound of glass shattering.
You had been in the Trancy home for three days, and each day was the same. Alois would throw tantrums over the littlest of things, smash whatever he could get his hands on, and then act like nothing was wrong. As you walked towards the room Alois was currently in, you saw his maid Hannah exit. She was holding the side of her face, trying to stop the blood from flowing out of a fresh wound.
"Alois." You called out. As you reached for the doorknob, a hand grabbed your wrist. Looking up, you saw Claude standing next to you.
"Forgive me Miss [Name], but I highly recommend staying away from my Master until he calms down." He suggested.
"I appreciate your concern, Claude, but I believe I'll take my chances." You replied, pulling away from Claude and entering the room. "Alois." You said, walking towards the blonde headed boy cautiously.
"Leave me alone, [Name]." He replied, his back facing you. You walked up to him and placed your hands on his shoulders, trying to somehow comfort him. "Get away from me!" Alois yelled, slapping your hands off him.
"Fine! If you want me to leave you alone, then I might as well just leave altogether! And don't expect me to come back." You replied coldly before storming out of the room.
You made your way back to the bedroom you were provided and began to pack your bags. You could not for the life of you understand Alois or his way of thinking. He was so sweet sometimes, but was insufferable other times. Maybe it was his maturity level...That's why you weren't too thrilled when you found out your parents arranged a marriage for you and Alois, seeing as how he was two years younger than you.
~
A knock on your door pulled you away from your thoughts.
"[Name]." An upset voice called, followed by a few sniffles.
"What?" You asked bluntly, your voice ringing with irritation. That was when the door burst open and Alois ran over to you, hugging you tightly.
"Please don't leave me, [Name]! I'm sorry, just please don't leave!" He begged, tears streaming down his face.
This was a side of Alois Trancy that you never saw before. And frankly, you weren't enjoying it. Seeing Alois in this state made your heart break. He looked so sad and alone. So helpless and lost. For once in your entire time of knowing the blonde Earl, you finally felt sorry for him. You felt as if you needed to do something to help and protect him.
"Please don't go, [Name]. I'll do anything if you stay. Please. You're all I have now." Alois cried out, tightening his grip on you.
You hugged him back, replying, "It's okay, Alois. Just stop crying, and I'll stay."
"I don't want to lose you." He mumbled, more tears sliding down his face.
"Alois, look at me." You said, raising his face to look at him. Drying his eyes, you smiled sadly at him. "I'm sorry I yelled at you before. I won't leave you, Alois. I'll be with you for as long as I live." You reassured him, making him smile and hug you close.
"I love you, [Name]. Promise that you'll never leave me." Alois said.
"I love you too, Alois. And I promise I'll never leave you." You answered, realization finally hitting you.
You actually did love Alois Trancy, and you wanted to be with him for as long as you possibly could.
~Until the very end.~

“I really must be going now…” You muttered as you glanced at the large clock hanging on the wall opposite the loveseat you were sitting on. You placed your teacup down onto the silver tray in front of you and wrapped your coat around your shoulders. The young man sitting across from you widened his eyes in shock.
“Preposterous!” He objected. “You’re not going anywhere!”
You blinked a few times. You were a bit dumbfounded by the T

~You'll Be In My Heart~Alois Trancy x Reader
The rain felt like tiny needles pricking your exposed skin. It drenched your clothing, making it stick uncomfortably to every curve of your body. The scent of iron and gunpowder was heavy in the air. As you turned, you blinked several times to clear the raindrops from your lashes. He looked so small gathered in the corner of the alley. His knees were pulled up to his chest, his golden hair was sticking to his face in thick strands. As you knelt in front of him, you saw tears mingled with the raindrops that cascaded down his cheeks. A twinge of pity ran through your veins as you reached out

"Do I have to?"
"It is only formal for a lady like you to attend."
Groaning, you buried yourself under the thick sheets of your canopy bed. "Victoria, it is way too early to do such." you protest, your voice muffled by the feather pillows.
"My Lady, it is almost noon. Now, I suggest you get dressed and not keep Alois waiting." You waited until Victoria, your maid, left the room. Reluctantly, you rolled yourself out of the bed and onto the lush carpet.
"Well, if Mister Alois Trancy is so smart, why doesn't he wait until after three P.M. to schedule an invite?" you growl, mar
